Nanded City Guide
Lying on the banks of River Godavari, Nanded is the second largest city in Maharashta and also head quarters the Nanded District. Historically, Nanded has a great significance; the city was part of the Nanda Dynasty for generations and was also under the Mauryan Empire under King Asoka. Nanded also holds a special place among the Sikhs, as it is the cremating ground of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru. With time, Nanded has grown into a beautiful, showcasing amazing cultural diversity.
